10 Minute Tidy! Ideas to Organize Your Home That Only Take 10 Minutes!

We are all lacking free time to tackle such things as home organization, but if we break tasks down into small, manageable tasks it doesn't seem so bad. Here are some ideas to tidy your home in just 10 minutes of spare time:

  1. Clean out that purse! I don't know about you, but I always find a collection of strange items in there! Shred your receipts, give your kids back their toys and binkies, and throw all that loose change in your "change jar".
  2. Wipe down the outside of your fridge and sort through the many kids papers that get plastered all over it. I try to limit the amount of papers on the fridge. We are in the process of building a new house (with a walk-in panty!) and I am hoping to incorporate some corkboards or magnetic boards in the pantry so the school papers that we need are a little more hidden.
  3. Pick a cabinet, any cabinet! No matter how often I clean the inside of my kitchen/bathroom cabinets, they are always a mess. Pick a cabinet, pull everything out, wipe it out, and reorganize everything. Consider using racks or baskets to make it more organized.

      4. Clean off the top of your desk. Get rid of unwanted papers. Organize your bills and writing utensils.
Look for organization bins specifically designed for desks.
      5. Clean out your makeup drawer/bag and get rid of all that old and broken makeup!
      6. Clean out your veggie and fruit drawers in the fridge and get rid of all the old stuff. Wipe out the                     drawer.
      7. Pick out a dresser drawer, dump the contents, and sort out what you wear and do not wear. Fold           the items you're going to keep neatly in the drawer. Donate the others.
      8. Check your pantry. Organize like items together. Check expiration dates.
      9. Hit the DVD's and video games, sort through them, organize them, and sell what you don't use.
    10. Pick a shelf in the linen closet, pull everything off, reorganize and refold items. Get rid of what you don't
use. If you store personal care items on your shelves, use baskets or shoeboxes to keep like items
          together.
